The third TREN workshop, held October 16–17, 2025 at Tennessee State University in Nashville, marked a significant expansion of TREN’s reach. Sixty attendees representing six institutions gathered to review the 100G backbone feasibility study and advance the statewide cyberinfrastructure plan.

Key outcomes from the session included alignment on technical requirements for the backbone, identification of priority connectivity corridors across the state, and commitments from two additional institutions to participate in the planning process.

Workshop proceedings — including the 100G backbone feasibility study — are available through the publications section.

This workshop was supported by the National Science Foundation under Award #2430341.
